Hello Hello! I am so excited to share the progress we have made in this room today! When we moved in, everything was big, empty and beige. While we still have a long list to go, certain projects have helped us feel comfortable (and at home) here in our space before the renovation. Every project has brought us a little closer to the vision we have for this house.
This project came to me at just the right time! I had just redesigned my home mood board (I’ll share that in a future post) and I knew I wanted to lean in a new direction. This wallpaper is perfect for our room. I love how it makes our room feel cozy and acts as the perfect setting for the view of our outside area.
Schoolhouse Electric is one of my all-time favorite home shops, and when I heard they had developed a line of wallpaper with Hygge & West, I was instantly amazed! After basically ordering all of the patterns (there are plenty of good options!) I settled on the Olive Grove pattern in spruce.
I hesitated to call this a “tour” because there is a lot more I want to do in this room in the future, including changing floors, paneling the ceiling, adding a chandelier, and painting the moldings. In the view not shown (looking into the pantry) I am also planning to add either an arched opening or pocket doors. After all that has been said, you can see that this room is far from “finished”, but I think this wallpaper is here to STAY and is the first step towards what we want this room to be eventually will!

Collecting teacups was one of my random phases last year. I found this on Etsy.
Thank you for following my progress at home! I’m SO excited to see where this project will lead! xx- Elsie
