Tim Kill began making guitars in his grandfather’s workshop as a teenager. He then traveled around the world before returning to Australia to play bass in bands, study classical guitar making and double bass restoration, repair and construction.
Tim then started his own shop and built a wide variety of instruments including rod basses, classic Indian slide guitars, and Weissenborns. During our chat, Tim tells us about his influences, the handcrafted tools his grandfather left him, his finishing processes and his hobby that is not a guitar … driving vintage motorcycles.
