Sebastian Yatra adds a new Top 10 to his Latin Pop Airplay Chart career board while “Tacones Rojos” climbs 11-6 on the December 4th. The single reaches its highest level in its third week.
“The song has a unique life cycle compared to my other releases,” says Yatra poster. “It’s growing slowly and steadily, and the music speaks for itself. It’s a different style than what’s going on in the music scene, so I knew it would take time, but good songs always hit the heart. “
“‘Tacones Rojos’ is not reggaeton,” adds Yatra. “It’s a pop song, an up-tempo party track and very happy.”
With the move, Yatra collects his 13th birthdayNS Top 10 in a group of 26 entries, six of which made it to # 1. His youngest is “Pareja del Año” with Myke Towers (tally of August 14th), the 29th. Weeks remained in the top 10 of the charts during its 32-week run (and counting; currently at number 10). With “Tacones'” advancing into the top 10 in week three, it is the fastest advancement in the region for Yatra.
“Tacones Rojos” rose 32% in viewer impressions to 4 million for the week ended November 28, according to MRC Data, bringing the total number of Latin Airplay up 45 to 34.
“I think it will be a song that will stay in people’s hearts for a long time,” he says. “I love seeing people interpret the song through challenges on TikTok and Reels, and I can’t wait to remix it soon, hopefully with an English-speaking artist.”
