What I love most about this whiskey sour recipe is how easy it is. There are a number of ways and variations for a whiskey sour, but this is a simple version with a sour mix and no egg whites.
What’s in a Whiskey Sour?
The following recipe has three ingredients (plus garnish): whiskey, sour mix, and a squirt of lemonade. If you don’t have a sour mixture and don’t feel like making it, you can substitute (see recipe notes).
This classic cocktail reminds me of one of my favorite cocktails of all time: a sidecar. It’s easy to make, on the alcoholic side, but still very refreshing with a big kick of citrus.

Easy Whiskey Sours, makes 1
2 ounces of whiskey
2 ounces sour mix
large splash of club soda
Combine the whiskey and sour mixture in a small glass with ice. touch it up Top off the drink with a large splash of club soda. If you want to garnish the drink, try adding a lemon slice, zest, or cherry.
You can adjust the sweetness level by adding a bit more or less sour mix. Bottom up! Emma

Combine the whiskey and sour mixture in a small glass with ice.

If you want to garnish the drink, try adding a lemon slice, zest, or cherry.
If you don’t have a sour mix and don’t want to take the time to prepare it, here’s an alternative: Combine 2 ounces of whiskey, 2 ounces of lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon of powdered sugar in a cocktail blender with ice. Shake well to dissolve the sugar. Strain and serve over ice.
