Dear readers – let me know, if there’s a secret cookie technique out there, I’ll uncover it and share every detail. lol Today we’re going to look at how to do it Bridgeton Cookies.

The designs I chose for us are what I think we would find on a treat table such as macarons, cakes and flowers. I also had to include the paper and the silhouette of the queen.
All of the cookies in this post were hand cut. I found an image, printed it out and used it as my template to cut out the cookie dough. Let us begin!

Deliveries:
-Royal icing in your choice of colors (in both outline and flooding consistency)
–Piping bag for icing
–Wilton point #103 or #104 and a star point
-Toothpick or writing tool
– edible pen

Macaroon Cookies
Step 1. Outline your macaron cookie.
Step 2. Flood the areas you outlined and let dry for about 5 minutes.

Step 3. Using the outline consistency, squiggle the frosting along the gaps. Let the crust dry for another 5 minutes.
Step 4. Poke your squiggles with your toothpick or writing tool so they resemble macaroon feet. Let it dry and you’re done 🙂

Silhouette Cookies
Step 1. Use an edible pen to mark the face/hairline.
Step 2. Sketch, flood and let dry.

cake cookies
Step 1. Outline and flood your cookie and let dry.
Step 2. Add text to your cookie. You can find out how to do this in my post “3 ways to add letters to sugar cookies”. i went with Bridgeton quotes.

Step 3. Using the star tip, pipe a scalloped edge around the cookie. I placed the tip against the cookie at about a 45 degree angle. Apply heavy pressure to get a larger base, then taper off.

flower cookies
Step 1. You may want to add some extra powdered sugar to your outline consistency icing as we want it to hold its shape a bit better.
Step 2. Working directly onto the cookie, use tip #103 to pipe a base for the flower onto the cookie as shown.

Step 3. Wrap the frosting around the base (this will be your bud) with the wide end of the tip facing down.

Step 4. Wrap the icing around your bud (about 3 petals) then add 5 more petals or as many as you need to wrap the flower.

Step 5. If you want to add leaves, cut the tip of your piping bag into a V shape. As with the scalloped lace technique, apply pressure and taper.

gossip paper cookies
Step 1. Outline and flood cookies and let dry completely.
Step 2. Draw/write whatever you like on the cookie with an edible pen.
Step 3. I chose to transfer the silhouette onto the paper with royal icing as we learned in this post, but you can easily draw whatever decorations you like on the cookie.

I hope you will try some of these Bridgeton Cookie designs for your next themed party! xo, Ren.
