We are very excited to share our Launch a Podcast e-course which has been updated with much more information! We originally started this class before Elsie and I started the A Beautiful Mess podcast.
To be honest, we probably got some inspiration from working with John and Sherry on this course. Since then we’ve launched our own show, built a loyal following, and our podcast has become a really important part of our business!
It also created a lot of loyalty from our core audience by giving them a longer form to interact. And we also learned a lot about monetizing a podcast, which we also share in this course.
Even if you are already a student of Launch a Podcast then you already have all the updated and new lessons. Just log into your account to check them out.
We regularly update all our courses when we have new/more information to share. We always strive to add value to our courses.
Before I dive into everything you can learn and why you should really consider starting a podcast, I should probably introduce all the teachers in this course (since that was part of the update).
We know many of you already know who John and Sherry Petersik are, but for those of you who don’t know, be sure to check out their website, Young House Love.
I’m pretty sure her blog was one of the first ones I followed before owning my first house and I loved following her DIY adventures.
John and Sherry are multi-talented, not only are they great designers and bloggers, but they also hosted one of my favorite podcasts. Young House Love has a podcastwhich was the #1 DIY podcast on iTunes with over 7 million downloads.
I think they’re a big deal, but I love that they’re also extremely nice and down to earth. You will love learning from them in this course.
Another teacher that many of you are probably familiar with is Jeremy Larson. Many of you probably know Jeremy as Elsie’s husband, but what you may not know is that he is also a very accomplished musician and producer.
And he not only knows a lot about recording, but also creates original videos and the music for them A wonderful mess. Jeremy knows A LOT when it comes to home recording, but in this course he breaks it all down into manageable chunks for you.
So the course has some great teachers. But what can you expect to learn from them? Here’s a breakdown of Start a Podcast:

Some of you were probably immediately interested in this course after reading the title of this post. But there might be some of you who are a little interested, but you need a friendly nudge.
Podcasting is kind of like the audio version of blogging, but in some ways there are actually a little bit more options. For one, it’s non-visual, which means you don’t need to take great photos or create illustrations to participate. You could record episodes in the middle of the night if you wanted.
Second, the launch of the A Beautiful Mess podcast was a total game changer for our brand. Whether you’re looking to launch a brand or improve what you already do, starting your own podcast is a great way to connect with your audience and build a loyal following.
Let us know what questions you have! We are very excited to see what you all make of this course. xo. Emma
