Jackson Wang embodies the title of his forthcoming album magician with a super powerful music video.
After making its live debut earlier this year during Wang’s Coachella set with 88rising, “Cruel” was finally unveiled along with a cinematic music video. The track’s raw rock-pop production is paired with an image that shows a fire-breathing Jackson battling a gang of soul-sucking female antagonists. In the middle of a burning city, the Chinese singer shows off his superpowers and body through rubble, ash and stones, with the star seemingly losing all hope until an unexpected twist takes place at the end.
Along with his new single, the GOT7 Member also revealed forthcoming details about his upcoming magician Album. With the pre-order information for US Fans informed Wang that the new LP will be out on September 9, 2022 with a ton of exciting release merchandise bundles and packages, including items like a silver disc, a “zine CD” version, two collector’s editions of the albums, Clothing, box sets and more.

magician will feature 10 tracks including the previously released single “Blow” which was released in March this year. Notably, earlier singles such as “100 Ways” and “LMLY” did not make the final track listing, though both entered the pop songs airplay charts upon release in 2020 and 2021, respectively.
