I think we can all agree that carpet shopping can be overwhelming. there is So many styles, sizes and prices to choose from online.
In this post I will share 12 affordable and stylish rugs online. I’ve also included a variety of colors (bold, neutral, and in between) to choose from.
Let’s talk about texture too! I know the shag rug stopped years ago, but it’s fun to have different options depending on what room your rug will be in – like a living room, bedroom, or office.
At the end of the post, I’ll share Elsie’s tips for keeping carpets clean. This is a popular question in the world of A Beautiful Mess because so many of us love bright colored rugs.
Types of carpets in this post: Shag, jute, chenille, wool, tufted, moroccan and bohemian.
Off-white jute rug
Price range: $30 to $648
You can never go wrong with a simple jute rug. Elsie swears by this one and has used it over and over again. The neutral color goes with it all and it’s easy to clean. And it’s available in three other colors (natural, navy blue, and black).
Orla chenille rug
Price range: $39 to $189
This soft chenille rug features rich colors and a classic geometric print. It comes in multiple sizes, and the largest costs less than $200. Score!
Tufted maze rug

This cream rug’s tone-on-tone labyrinth pattern adds pattern without being overbearing. I love an off-white rug in a bedroom or in a “shoes off” zone to keep your rug looking its best for longer.
Bungalow ivory carpet

Did you know that Rifle Paper Co. makes rugs? The quality is amazing (Elsie has one of her rugs in her master bath) and so are the prices. I can say that this woven rug would be even more stunning in person!

Put this Moroccan shag rug in the classic category. The design is so versatile and you can use it in a colorful space to add texture and depth to the space.

How awesome is this woven rug? The colorful ombre look is incredible, and the way it’s made (by artisans who are committed to fair labor practices) is even better. I really love this rug.
Cowhide imitation carpet

I had no idea faux leather rugs were easy to clean until Emma told me about one she had in her dining room. The fibers can be spot cleaned so you don’t have to worry as much about spills. Another neutral rug that can “dress up” any room!

Another rug that would look SO good in a bedroom or dining room. It’s a simple polka dot rug with a twist and thick enough that no underlay is needed underneath. Don’t forget to check this out when purchasing your next rug!
