I LOVE skin care. I could go on and on and on about this. i love it so much! In today’s post, I’m sharing the best (and my favorite) skincare products with clean ingredients.
These are items that I use daily and religiously. I break them down into morning and night routines. Of course, the night routine is much more important! I hope you enjoy looking at my medicine cabinet.
When I was recently asked to describe my skin type, my answer was “old”. Haha. I was joking of course! I know that I am still young (ISH). But being 39 means taking good care of my skin morning, noon and night.
If you’re reading this and you’re 22 years old, trust me when I say – the earlier you start, the better. Simply removing ALL makeup every night and keeping your skin firm and hydrated can make a world of difference.
And you don’t need a bunch of expensive products. Toner and coconut oil could get you pretty far if you’re on a budget and don’t know where to start.
In my opinion, is the most important element of a skin care routine consistency.
Morning routine:
toner
Every morning I wake up, splash some water on my face (and dry it off), brush my teeth, and then immediately reach for my Thayer’s toner. It’s an element of my routine that I never go without. I prefer the unscented version.
You can apply toner to your face using a cotton pad or your hands to press it into your face. I tend to have drier skin in winter – I often use toner to keep my dry skin at bay.
face mist
Next, I spritz my face with a mist. I am currently using and loving Osea’s Sea Vitamin Boost. Mists keep my skin feeling fresh and it’s a part of my morning routine that actually helps me wake up. I’m currently waking up very early with two kids, so it’s not always nice.
moisturizer
When I’m not wearing makeup, I put on some Summer Fridays Cloud Dew. It has a great texture and a nice, natural scent. When I’m not wearing makeup (which is often), I still try to moisturize my skin.
If I wear makeup, I skip Cloud Dew because the natural primer and clean foundation I use are very moisturizing. Speaking of makeup, here you can see my clean makeup routine.

night routine:
cleaning supplies
I use Leahlani Bless Balm as an oil cleanser pretty frequently. Oil cleaning is my favorite. All you have to do is rub the product into your skin (you can use pretty much any facial oil for this).
Then run hot water on a fresh washcloth and press it into your skin for 5-10 seconds. Repeat this a few times if you wear a lot of makeup. It will melt right away.
When I’m not doing an oil cleanse, I use Honest Gentle Gel Cleanser. It’s great for all skin types.
peeling
I LOVE Moon Juice Acid Potion as my scrub. A few months ago I had a lot of breakouts in my mouth. It was getting worse and worse.
After not having any facials or skin treatments for a year, my skin just wasn’t at its best in general. I read a review of this product on another blog and immediately ordered it. It has worked wonders for me.
At first I used it every day. Then, when my skin calmed down, I started using it every other night or a few times a week. I will definitely keep it in my routine as it is one of the first times a product has had an instant result for my skin.
night cream
I love Osea’s Atmosphere Protection Cream. I was looking for a night cream with great ingredients and this one smells and feels amazing.
I’m also obsessed with their Vagus Nerve Pillow Mist. It has so many incredible five star reviews. I’ve found that sticking to a nighttime routine has greatly improved my sleep quality!
One last thing I forgot to include in a photo (but use every night) is a lip sleep mask. It’s super thick and the ultimate remedy for dry lips that I often have. I love it and use it every night before I go to bed.
