BTS might be taking a break, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t being hyped for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022 tournament in Qatar in November. To get Army going, they released a video for The’s guitar plus British rock remix prove Track “Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)” on Friday (September 23) which includes some new sports-themed lyrics.
The additions to the re-dubbed “Yet to Come (Hyundai Ver.)” are fitting as the anthem will serve as the “Goal of the Century” campaign song sponsored by the auto company. “As one of the most influential global artists in the world, BTS and their music have a great influence on our society to develop in a positive direction,” said Jaehoon Chang, President/CEO of Hyundai Motor Company, in a statement. “Through the World Cup campaign with BTS, we hope to create an opportunity for people around the world to unite around a goal of sustainability and cheer one another up.”
Among the new lyrics are: “We’re going straight to the stars, they never thought we’d make it this far. Now the vision is clear, the goal of the century is here,” Suga and J-Hope sing from atop buildings, while below are footage of children playing soccer and families crowding around TVs for the soccer tournament to see.
In conjunction with the motivational video, Hyundai is launching the #TeamCentury12 TikTok challenge here on October 1st, inviting fans to show their best version of a dance move with some shoulder-to-shoulder action. In June, “Yet to Come” rose to number 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. US charts and became the sixth leader of the group, extending the record.
Earlier this week, the Bangtan Boys gave a first look at their animated avatars in a teaser for their collaboration with the Cookie Run: Kingdom video game. The trailer shows the picking up of several themed cookies cookie run‘s version of a BTS glowstick and gathering at an outdoor concert venue where the Cookie counterparts of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook – blacked out but with their glowsticks on stage – dance and perform for the audience for their in-game concert.
