Mariah Carey will make your vacation twice as good. After announcing one-off “Merry Christmas Everyone!” shows at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena (Dec. 11) and New York’s Madison Square Garden (Dec. 13), the undisputed Queen of Christmas announced on Thursday (Oct. 27) that she has room in her sled for two more gigs.
“New yoooork!! The demand was so nice that we decided to do it twice! I’m adding a 2nd Madison Square Garden show on Friday, December 16th!” she tweeted about the doubling, with Tix going on sale for both shows today (October 28) at 10am ET. “I can’t wait to celebrate Christmas with you all!”
And don’t worry Torontonians, she has more love for you too. Carey also added a second Scotiabank appearance for her Canadian lambs on December 9; Tickets for both Canadian shows also go on sale today at 10am ET.
According to a publication, these will be Mariah’s only Christmas concerts this holiday season, and fans who buy a ticket will also get the chance to purchase an exclusive t-shirt and a copy of the singer’s illustrated Christmas storybook. The Christmas Princesswhich is to be released on November 1st.
The shows are nice, but as any jingle junkie knows, the most exciting part of seasons is the annual chart-watching to see if Carey’s all-time Christmas classic, All I Want For Christmas Is You, hits No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Hits chart turns 100 for a fourth straight year.
