Fall is one of my favorite times of year (cider, pumpkin patches, scary movies…all the good things!) and it’s also my favorite time for crafting.

In this post I will show you how to make a wreath for every season. That’s correct! You can easily decorate your front door for winter, spring, summer and fall with these simple wreath DIYs.

I love easy projects (like making wreaths) because they can be done in the evenings after work (or on the weekend) while you catch up on your favorite TV show or podcast.

Looking for easier crafts? Check out 15 crafts you can make while watching TV.

What kind of base should I use?

The most common wreath pads are:

  • Grapevine – this wreath base is super easy to embellish with hot glue.
  • WIRE FRAME – This wreath base is strong, durable and versatile.
  • Styrofoam – a classically shaped wreath base that can be wrapped with fabric or yarn.

What materials do I need?

Here is a list of common wreath crafting materials:

Is it cheaper to make your own wreath?

Yes. Tying a wreath is usually cheaper than buying a finished wreath. When gathering your supplies, be sure to use craft store coupons to save more money!

DIY Wreath Ideas:

Here are 15 ways to make your own wreath!

Pampas Grass Wreath DIY

I love the texture and simplicity of pampas grass, and this wreath is perfect for the fall season. You can easily make this wreath with different colored pampas grass if you want a little variety.

Do-it-yourself Christmas wreath in white and gold

I love the white and gold elements of this floral wreath and you can keep it for Thanksgiving and Christmas (or anytime really!). I love Christmas decorations that you don’t have to change that often.

Spring wreath DIY

This spring wreath is made entirely out of felt and those tiny carrots are too cute. This wreath is perfect for spring and Easter decorations.

Twig & Pom Pom Starburst Wreath

Do you have some extra sticks in your garden? Turn them into a twig and pom pom wreath for your front door. You can also customize this with driftwood for a different look.

Paper Flower Wreath DIY

This DIY Paper Flower Wreath includes a tutorial to help you make your own paper flowers. You can also use the flowers for other other projects like garlands (or an artificial bouquet)!

Easy DIY Halloween Wreath Ideas

Three ways to make a Halloween wreath with embellishments like spiders, black flowers, yarn, and more. The possibilities are endless when it’s spooky time of year.

Flower Vine Wreath

You can use artificial, fresh or dried flowers to make this grape vine wreath and match the colors to each season. I love using dried flowers because you can reuse them year after year.

DIY yarn wreath

This easy DIY Yarn Wreath might be the easiest (and most inexpensive) wreath on this list. The red ribbon is perfect for the holidays, but you can easily swap it out for other times of the year.

Fresh tangerine wreath

If you’re a fan of wreaths with fresh elements, you’ll love this DIY freshness tangerine wreath. And I won’t blame you if you eat some tangerines while you make it…

Simple July 4th ribbon wreath

If you’re looking for a simple 4th of July wreath to hang on your front door this summer, look no further – the perfect wreath is here!

Disco Ball Wreath

I love this disco ball wreath for the Christmas season and New Year’s Eve. This wreath is ready to party!

DIY small pumpkin wreath

This tiny pumpkin wreath is one of those craft projects that just about anyone could make—it’s basically just arranging and hot-gluing things. So easy.

Easy do-it-yourself oversized Christmas wreath

Looking for the perfect festive Christmas wreath? This oversized wreath doesn’t need a huge store-bought base. Instead, it’s made of pool noodles. Yes, you heard right!

Bunny Pom Pom Wreath DIY

Sometimes I feel lost when it comes to decorating for Easter (and the spring season), but I LOVE this bunny pom pom wreath!

Make your own cranberry wreath

If you’re looking for something over the top for your Thanksgiving or Christmas celebrations this year, try this fresh cranberry wreath. The deep red color really pops with the pink ribbon!

I hope this has inspired you to make a wreath for your front door (and give your postman something festive). Happy crafting!
