Today I’m sharing my most used paint color with lots of sample photos from my home. Sherwin Williams Marshmallow is a light, warm white.
SW 7001 has become my favorite color for white paint when I want something bright, clean and simple. I even used this color on my first adventure with painted exterior bricks.

Sherwin Williams Marshmallow – SW7001
If you’re looking for a white paint color that’s slightly warm to the touch without being beige, Marshmallow is a great choice. I wanted a color with warm undertones so it wouldn’t be cool.
I also didn’t want anything that appeared yellow. SW 7001 feels light and light with slightly warm undertones. I’ve used it all over my house – twice! In this post you will see how versatile it is for a variety of spaces.
SW 7001 works well for:
- interior walls
- Cover
- Trim
- Outside
- Rooms with daylight
- Rooms that connect
SW Marshmallow feels:
- Slightly warm
- Bright and clean
- Crisp
- Fresh
Light reflectance value:
The LRV for Marshmallow (SW 7001) is 82%, which is on the light end of the cream spectrum. Although appearing bright white in well-lit rooms, marshmallow is a light, warm “greige” white with hints of beige.
The color appears different in this room with the painted ceiling reflection. I’ve found marshmallow to go well with whatever color I’ve used next to it.
Outside painted with SW 7001:
Here’s the exterior of my previous house painted with SW Marshmallow. There are many houses in our area that have bricks painted white, and I began to notice that many houses look too stark using untinted white.
It is important for exterior painting to use a color with undertones that blend with nature.
