In what may be their first official interview together, musicians/producers Blake Mills and Chris Weisman sit down with us to talk about it Jelly Road, the upcoming album they co-wrote (out July 14 via New Deal / Verve Records). The duo talk about how they met – Chris lives in Brattleboro while Blake lives in Los Angeles – and the writing and recording process behind the album. We also talk about Blake’s recent performance at the Gorge, Washington, his support for Joni Mitchell, his current favorite guitars and gadgets (including Duncan Price’s fretless guitar), the dangers of playing slide, and more.
