First of all, note that the vast majority of places that accept dogs require them to be on a leash. So always have this essential accessory on hand!

In the case of accommodation establishments, to facilitate your research, it is possible to use the “Pets accepted” filter. In summer, throughout the Gaspésie, 114 establishments – hotels, bed and breakfasts, outfitters, cabins, campgrounds and other modes – accept dogs. Of this number, 63 are campsites.
Beaches, docks and trails
More than 38 beaches are accessible to you with your dog. Also note that your furry friend is accepted on the docks, where you can fish. However, try to keep your pet well on a leash, because fresh fish meat can be very tempting!
Also, more than 32 hiking trails allow you to walk your pet. Three national parks welcome dogs on a leash: Forillon National Park, Miguasha National Park (outdoors only) and Gaspésie National Park. Please note: they are however not accepted everywhere, but in well-defined paths or sectors. The trails are Lucarne and Chute-Sainte-Anne, Camping de la Rivière and Espace VR de la Vallée. Wildlife reserves generally allow dogs, except inside camps and in areas posted with a ban.
The presence of your dog on a leash is also authorized in several other places with trails, where they will have the joy of stretching their legs.
