Bowen Yang is just not getting along this week Saturday night live Promo with SZA and moderator Keke Palmer. “Hi, I’m Keke Palmer and I’m a hostess Saturday night live this week with musical guest SZA”, nope says Star Palmer in the first video bit.
“And I’m Brown Yang and we’re going to be such a…did I just say ‘Brown Yang’?” an embarrassed Yang asks this week’s guests as they laugh nervously. “I can’t even read my own name. I’m sorry people! I’m Bowen Young and we’re going to… oh my god. Brown Young! What’s happening?” stammers a devastating Yang.
“Are you alright, Bowen?” asks a concerned Palmer. He assures her he’s fine, repeating his first name to prove it, before inexplicably calling himself “Cohen Yang” and then insisting he’s Bravo star Andy Cohen and then Brown Yung again. “I’m worried about you, Bowen,” SZA says, before calling her “Scissors” and saying he’ll be taking a long nap before tomorrow night’s (December 3) show.
In a second promo, a recovered Yang promises the episode will be epic and claps every syllable, a tactic Palmer then uses to ask where the bathroom is. In a previous video, Palmer revealed that she’s an “eightfold threat” who flexes her singing, acting and dancing skills, before adding that she’s also a beekeeper, painter, magician and fitted sheet folder; She is also admittedly bad at math.
The clip was released a day after SZA shared the cover art for their forthcoming album SOS Album that has no official release date yet. Putting on a soccer jersey with SOS Sewn on the sleeve, SZA sits on the edge of a diving board, which is pictured planted over a large body of water.
Earlier this month, SZA released their latest single, “Shirt,” which debuted at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. Along with the release of another high-charting single, SZA recently covered billboards Issue with R&B/Hip-Hop power players. In the cover story, she questioned her longevity in music and where she sees her career.
