YORK, Pa. – The “Original 181th Semi-Annual York Antiques Show & Sale” swings into action Friday and Saturday, Sept. 22-23, at the York Fairgrounds Convention & Expo Center, Memorial Hall East, 334 Carlisle Ave., York, Pa.
The event features 60 curated exhibitors selling an impressive breadth of antiques, including 18th and 19th century American and English furniture, American country pieces in original paint and decoration, fine early porcelain and pottery, quilts, hooked rugs, samplers and other textiles, lighting, vintage holiday items (including Halloween and Christmas treasures), historic ephemera, early kitchen and fireplace items, Native American artifacts, pueblo pottery and baskets, estate jewelry, vintage toys, woodenware including a large selection of hand carved butter prints.
In addition, Oriental carpets will be shown by Soheil Oriental Rugs, Roslyn, N.Y., and fine art displayed by William Union from Art & Antiques Gallery, Holden, Mass., and Peter Bazar Fine Art of Saratoga, N.Y. Ziebart’s Antiques from Madison, Wis., will also join the show.
“The show highlights the most desirable items on the market,” said show manager Melvin L. Arion. “Because of the superb over-all quality of merchandise offered here, the York Show is considered one of the premier antiquing events in the mid-Atlantic region.”
