A quick note from Fretboard diary HQ: Our 49th edition is in press and we are in the process of designing our 50th edition, which will be out in early 2022. Fifty?! Rest assured we will make it special: some new voices, a fresh look and lots of surprises … can’t wait for you to see it.
Which brings me to a couple of quick announcements:
I would like to include a few stories from she, our readers. Maybe the one Fretboard diary Changed your attitude towards music, made you your favorite violin maker, or introduced you to a musician you now love. Maybe you made a special connection at one of our summits or our podcasts have enriched your life a lot. I would love to feature a few of these stories on our pages … please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have anything to submit. I promise I will read every email.
We are also – as always – looking for great guitar stories. The truth is, we love seeing the rare and notable instruments in our community as much as we do famous musicians. If you have a guitar with a great backstory, email me. Who knows? Maybe one of our reader guitars is on the cover of one of our next issues.
Brands: If you’re looking to advertise in the 50th edition, consider this as a warning: this is an edition you want to be included in and spaces are filling up quickly. Contact us and we will see if there is still room for you. We are blocking all ads until the end of November.
Lurkers: If you are not already a subscriber, we hope you will join us. You are guaranteed to receive our 49th and 50th commemorative editions, which are sure to be sold out. Print subscriptions start at just $ 48 (digital is even cheaper … $ 30). The best part is that with your subscription you’re helping us grow.
Everyone: The (at least for me) Herculean task of keeping an extremely niche magazine and podcast network running for 16 years would not be possible without your support and your kind words. None of this – the magazine, the videos, the audio interviews, the newsletter, the events, or even this website – would exist without our subscribers. Due to the worldwide ups and downs, thanks to you we were able to bring out a 128-page magazine in the highest imaginable quality. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being an ongoing part of our family. -Jason
